Hi All! It's me...your neighborhood pest! Back with yet MORE questions!?!
default_wink.png

Since we'll be moving to Anchorage, AK next Feb, I thought I'd find out from y'all if anyone knows of any reputible mini breeders up in AK?

I would love to breed my Ruffian & if I don't do it before leaving Spokane, I'm going to have to find someone up there!

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much & God bless!

It is allowed in AMHA, but the track record for shipped cooled semen is abysmal. Only one foal that I know of from shipped. Frozen just became available, but I haven't heard any results. It should be better, but I don't know for sure how that is going.

I would think that frozen would have a lower motility rate because as far as i've heard even in big horses it's much lower than fresh cooled semen. Wonder why any of it doesn't seem to be being sucessful with mini's?? Perhaps it's just that there is not enough being done that it just seems like a worse rate than with our larger counterparts?
