Breed Promotion committee

[ASPC/AMHR Breed Promotion]

The Breed Promotion committee is finally organized and we are searching for a few more members. We must have members from each of the areas and we still need a member from Area 3, 4 and 6. We also need more volunteers to be on the committee – we can have as many members as we want and need – but just one is listed from each area in the Journal.

If you have been wanting to help with promotion and marketing please let us know. We have lots of new projects in the making and we need lots of help.

To be honest - it is all new to me. Right now we are trying to get a few projects in motion and need people that are good at organizing and following up. We have a breeders book we want to do, affiliate relationships, congress & nationals helpers, designing new "friendlier" forms, finding good pics for us to use for articles and advertising (we want new updated pictures), good writers for writing up promotion on each breed for affiliate websites, setting up an equine state affair package.

We have our advertising schedule for print done for 2011 but now we are working on internet links and promotion. Need people to research good places for us to link to get exposure for the club.

As you can see the list goes on and on. We want and need all the help we can get. If you are good at one of these things please volunteer. Or if you have more ideas that we need to do - volunteer.

The only difference in a member and a volunteer is that WE MUST have a member from each area whereas if you dont care if your name is listed as the area member then you can do more work than the listed person. We are not a group for recognition - we just want the members to have a say and get the information quicker and more efficiently.

Our goal is to promote all small equine within our association therefore promoting the farms and members of our association. For those of you lucky enough to have already gotten your latest Journal - take a look at the ad and the editorial we did for Congress. That is are goal - keep the members informed and prospective members impressed.

Sorry I was long winded - just very passionate and lots and lots to do.

Thanks to all of the wonderful responses. We now have each area represented.

Please - if you have any ideas or just want to work on a certain project - let us know. We have made great strides in the last month but have a long way to go. We need all of the help we can get.
