I am wanting to expand my miniature horse/horse library so that I can learn as much as possible and have them at home for reference. I have "Miniature horses" by Donna Campbell Smith??? and the mini horse vet book by??? I can't thank of her name right now. I am going to order an equine massage and stretching book that has some anatomy in it. I would appreciate any other suggestions. Thanks, Kristy

An excellent book is Miniature Horses, their care breeding and coat colors, by Barbara Naviaux

That is an excellent book, but is unfortunately out of print as far as I know...

Another good book that is easier to come by is Miniature Horses: A Veterinary Guide for Owners & Breeders by Rebecca L. Frankeny. I keep a copy in my vet kit.

KayKay, here on the Forum, recently published a good book and

it is available thru Small Horse Press....... it comes with a slide

show on a disc.

It is called:

Miniature Horse Conformation - What to Look For & What to Avoid

I think you'd enjoy having it in your library of 'mini' books.

I second Kay Baxter's book on conformation. Very easy to understand and learn from.
