OK all got any suggestions?

Before you say anything, yes I do have it, yes I am only 21. No im not to young, my knees have been shot sense middle school. Although im sure 2 years of vollyball on a hard wood gym floor with no knee pads didnt help.

THey have been doing really good, but now that we are getting into fall and its cooling off they are acting up again. Mostly in the summer they are good unless I dont get enough sleep, that is my sign.

Right now I have a heating knee wrap on it, and do have some cream somewhere, but need some ideas for when I am at work. The knee pads work great, but they are kind spend at $3 each and only last for so many hours. Could be alot of money when now I could use them almost daily, but just suffer through the pain and pop more asperin.

I have arthritis in my knee and in my lower back. The back thing is keeping me from working (Thank God for disability!).

My pain management doc just gave me a referral for 4 sessions of acupuncture. Went to the first one today and it was amazing. I couldn't touch my toes before she started. After the hour, I could touch my toes. It is a little weird since I still have 2 TINY needles still in my back but hey.....if it makes the pain go away, I'm all for it.

Sounds like that could be the start of degenerative disk desease. For years and years I have suffered with back pain...doctors were never of any help. Finally a few years back I went to a specialist and he took xrays that showed severe disk degeneration. It has gone from just my lower back to up into my neck and can be very painful. Tried a lot of medications but the only one that has given me any relief is Arthrotec. Awfully expensive but so many of the arthritic medications are. I also have bad knees, probably have to have knee replacement done next year.

Before my knees got really bad, I had some injections done to replace lost fluid and it really helped. you are so young...mine started our when I was very young also. Really causes a lot of fatigue for me and limits what I can do. Another thing that can help is the Glucosamine with Chondroitin+MSM. No prescription needed for that. You young people who have arthritis could really benefit from the Glucosamine product. Know what you mean about th summer being less painful. I want to move to Arizona for the winters. Good luck, Mary

I am aware of how it hits younger people. Mine started when I was 24. If you would like to try something that has helped many try glucosimine. The down side is there are some on the market that are not good blends. Being a herbal remedy they are not regulated and a few "quack brands" actually make the good ones look bad. Its a supplement that will create healing growth in the joints and it really does work. Now the down side. Most of the supplements are not covered by drug plans but if you talk with your doctor he might have some ways around it. It takes about three months to see positive results but relief comes shortly after you start. Anti-inflammatory (non steroidal) will provide long term relief but do not "cure" the problem. If you will listen to advice I can offer this. If your doctor suggests doing a surgical repair do it. I say this because so many people put it off. Bad mistake. The earlier they can do the repair the more it helps. If you put it off every movement causes more and more damage and over time what could have been helped leaves them a site with much less to repair. I speak as one who put it off because i could still stand the pain. I was wrong and ended up with my first total knee replacement at 49. I had a second at 57 then the first one was worn out and needed a second replacement at 58.

Glucosamine with Chondroitin+MSM.
Yes you got that correct...OH you want to talk about Arthritis well I have RA so badly now I am off work and on SS Disability You want to talk on Arthritis i have now been off work for a year and a half with no going back at all....and I am 55 so older then you but still too old to be this crippled up...And Want to talk about Arthritis Prescription Medicine Well Have I got a story for you all~!! Lets just say as of 2 months ago I am not on ANY Prescription Meds as they almost killed me~!! Yes that is correct~!! Liver messed up and I also went into acute Kidney failure~!! And it was Directly caused by ONE Very Powerful Arthritis Medicine~!!! I was ICU for 3 days and went 3 times to Kidney dialysis Not a fun time over the 4th of July I can tell you~!!! BUT I just got A CLEAN BILL of health Friday and again today from 2 of my Doctors No more blood tests no more appointments needed~!!! YEAH after nearly kicking the bucket several weeks ago...one to Two more days of my Organs shut down like that and well i would be pushing up daises now...Want to talk about Arthritis??? I can tell you stories for sure...

I also just bought on advise from my vet I went to a horse supply store and just picked up Pure MSM and He said a 1/4 of a teaspoon would be about what I should take but it maybe bitter so He told me to mix it with say applesauce or something like that... I have tried a Horse product by the name of Hyalun..wich is for joint pain and is a natural product and is also sold in the same strength for people to take~!! But I did not continue on that product but now that I am not on Prescription drugs I may just go back on that product also...

And Oh BTW the MSM for horses is 9.95 for 16 OZ. so at only 1/4 of a teaspoon should go a long ways Sure is better then the Enbrel shots I was taking at a cost of $1,500 Per Month And the Methotrexate at 60 dollars a month of course with insurance I only paid out of pocket 72 dollars a month for Both~!!! And oh ya it was the Methotrexate that messed up my liver and kidneys~!!!!!

And get yourself, or make yourself, a Barley bag- it retains the heat for ages after a minute in the Microwave!!!

Have you tried that Icy Hot stuff? That helps me when I have aches. I wish I knew more to say. When I have something like a bad headache or twist something, I've taken like 4 advil at the same time which I was told to take by a doctor when I had a sprang ankle, but I doubt that is good to take that much on a regular basis.
