Area V Update…
Good Morning All,
I visited with Tracey Slagle last night about the Area V Show next weekend. Look’s like we are shaping up very well. Right now there are 230 horses entered and she is still getting entries. She said we may even have some folks coming in from Florida to join us. If you didn’t send in your entries, come on anyway so that you won’t miss an opportunity to show to the 2010 AMHR National Judge, Mr. Jon Wolf and for you Shetland owners, Ms. Cathy Brubaker rounds out the Shetland judging. Remember to decorate your stalls for the Best Stall Decorating Award and the theme is Red, White, Blue to celebrate the American Miniature Horse and the American Shetland Pony. There will be lots of added touches throughout the show and weekend to make this one to remember.
There will be door prize drawings on Friday and Saturday, so listen closely when Merry calls out your back number and name, there are several vendors that will be there and a couple of new ones that have never been to a Miniature/Shetland show. Our Registry Queen, Miss Ali Olander will be on hand the entire weekend so give her a big Texas welcome and take a moment to visit with her. She’s a very lovely lady and will definitely put a bright spot on the show
Don’t forget the Silent Auction Bake sale and there will be a live auction at the lunch break on Saturday, so be sure to have plenty of money to bid on those extra special items and there will be a Barn Isle Party hosted by L & M Equine Services, Leah Johnson & Pondering Oaks Stables & Training, Carin Ponder, so watch for the signs regarding the day and time for the party.
We are offering again to those that would like to help out during the show a minimum of 2 hrs, a free stall certificate to use towards the Halloween Spooker show in October. See Tracey in the show office to let her know when you can help. Its appreciated very much.
Last but not least….don‘t forget about the Paybacks in the Stakes classes. Remember the more that enter the bigger the prizes. The payout will be down to 6th place.
Fiddlestix Pony Farm will be in their usual place and will be bringing five ponies too. Stop by and say hello.
Thank You Area V members for your support this year at all of the ASPC/AMHR Club of North Texas shows! See you next weekend and bring plenty water and fans to stay cool.
