Anyone feed "The Natural Vet"

I had actually talked to Dr. Dan at a Horse expo several years ago. I was just reading his website on his 3 step program of feeding with natural oats and supplementation and hay or pasture. Does anyone out there use his products and feed his program? I just acquired 2 more minis (11 years old) who have been stagnant for about 2 years. They are very overweight. The one actually looks like an aged broodmare in the tummy/flank/hip area.

I know Dr. Dan Personally and from what I saw for my situation its cheaper/easier to feed the Triple Crown Lite vs. Dr. Dan's stuff. I have great results with the Triple Crown Lite

I went to our feed store and it was suggested I give them Nature's Essencials feed supplement and good grass hay (plus exercise of course). The Nature's E. is 12%, but it is not a feed-just supplement.
