Monkey Bay from New Zealand. It's a Sauvignon Blanc. Yummy

It's great with fish.

Thanks Matt for the review of the wine. Yes, wine is my preference but I usually drink red wine. I will have to try your suggestion the next time I cook some fresh salmon

I used to love cabernet sauvignon from Australia (can't remember the name) when I could drink. I think both N.Z. and Australian wines are very good. So are the german wines. I used to own a liquor store and we always had the best and biggest supply of wine around. If anyone wanted it, we had it.

Now I prefer not to drink with my diabetes.

Nowdays there are so many out I've lost touch with them. Love the name Monkey Bay.

Just thought of it. I think it was Coonawarra or something like that.

No problem. It's a crisp, fruity, dry wine (but not too dry). And...no aftertaste. If you like Sauvignon Blanc, you'll LOVE this wine.

I'll have to keep my eye open for that -- I love Sauvignon Blanc, and fortunately my diabetes specialist has no problem with me having a glass. Good thing, or I'd have to resign from the diabetics club...

Here's another one: Rex Hill Vineyards, a design client of mine. They've won numerous internation awards for their Pinot Noir, but I love their Sauvignon Blanc.

Or anything from Chateau St. Michelle of Washington.

That's too bad about your diabetes, Suzanne. But at least you can have one

There are wines with a lower sugar content, right?

I will try out your suggestions sometime...Thanks!

Yes, so long as I plan accordingly (and stick to just one glass!), I'm fine, and the benefits (of red wine, anyway) make it a good thing.
