I gave my colt, Sparky, his first haircut yesterday. He did great with everything but the legs!

Before I clipped him I thought that he was a light bay. Mom is a sorrel with a partially flaxen tail and dad is a dark bay pinto. Here is a before pic with mom.

After I clipped him I don't know what to call him. What do you guys think?

Your pictures are small, so it's hard to see........ I see the possibility of bay......you may have a silver bay.

I think the foal is bay dun. Looks like a distict dorsal and the first clippped photo seems to show some shoulder bars? If he is bay dun, the dun will cause the body to be lighter than it otherwise would be. But it's too small to tell for sure.

Here's the pics enlarged. Take out the "th_" which makes them thumbnails.

He still looks bay to me.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I think he is bay too. Just going to be a light one. I guess the dorsal stripe is what got me to thinking he may be dun or buckskin. Momma has a dorsal stripe too but she is definitely sorrel.
