Make sure you have uninstalled before you try and reinstall it.

Is it possible your hard drive is partioned? Make sure it is trying to install on the correct drive.

Thanks so much for the response

as far as partitioned I don't know

but the free space is on my c drive as 146 GB

It says I need windows XP with service pack 2

I have windows XP with service pack 3 (seems it should be better with 3 but I don't know)

I checked its not installed at all

just bought it used and it won't

go past the first couple minutes

when it checks for space although

it does say installing

But the only adobe program I have on there

is abobe reader which I have always had

I hate being so computer illiterate in some areas

Lori, I don't have that particular program, but in my Premiere program I know that you can google questions online and usually find some sort of feed back. I know not a quick answer for you, but you might find something? I know that usually helps me when I'm in doubt of one thing or another.

I found this online....maybe it can help?

I bought an adobe CS3 Dreamweaver and Fireworks program. Thought my normal computer could handle it. But I had to buy a new computer (it was a sale and almost as cheap as buying more memory) in order to install my programs. I now have a lot of memory on my computer. Be sure to read the fine print. I know I had to have a certain windows program as well as the memory in order to install them. If not, go to adobe's home page and ask their customer service. They may be able to answer your questions.

But yeah, be sure you uninstalled them originally before trying again if your computer got you that far.
