the first filly was born yesterday evening, while my son was doing the feeding. she is a very cute about 20" tall & a 7" cannon bone. mare was at 329 days. looks like she has 3 high white stocking, sire is a pinto.

the 2nd was born sometime in the early morning, mare was at 282 days, no bag, no sign of foaling. foal was still in the plencenta when i found it. i broke both sac's easy. a filly.

Congratulations on your first filly.

On the second one, based upon the picture, she looks like she could have been a dwarf. (the lower jaw looks like it is protruding past the upper jaw, and she looks to not have much neck.) If she was, it is most likely natures way of taking care of things.

Still, it hurts to loose one.

It does look like the cord is twisted to me also.
