Life questions from a 20 something year old

Hey again! Baby is here! They ended up inducing me at 39 weeks, my blood pressure had been a bit high for a couple weeks before that and Dr. didn't like that and didn't want to take any chances. Labored for 12 hours. Labor was not near as hard or scary as I thought it would be. But...

Thank you! I'm so excited for that first meeting. I will be sure to document that and update again! 😁

Life questions from a 20 something year old

I did want to update too and thank everyone so much for their advise and life experiences shared. I am so grateful. My mind was certainly put at ease. After some more reflection, we decided it was time and I am due any day now! I feel so at ease sharing my life with a child, hubby, and the...

Life questions from a 20 something year old

Another year has gone by and I've been absent from this forum lol. Very good point! That older wisdom is certainly something to cherish. One thing we do have going for us that way is our parents both started young, and hubby and I are both the oldest, so our parents are still young. Most of...

Definitely prefer the stalls! It is good to know there are others out there like me. 😁

Life questions from a 20 something year old

Well, I definitely live by "the housework will wait" lol I think that's why I'm in trouble lol that and the fact that neither of us really care to do it and would rather be outside doing something. Sometimes I wish hubby was a neat freak to push me. Some great tips from you two. I like the...

    Mare/Calming supplements

Still using and I do see a little difference. Not in everyday life really, but certainly when she cycles. She's not near as noticable and messy. And she is still being nicer generally to the other two equines at my place. Still a bundle of energy though! Lol

Life questions from a 20 something year old

I sure appreciate those words Kristal! Some days I don't feel too wise and still feel like a teenager trying to figure out life! I have been able to put the majority of at least one of my paychecks per month away for either savings or if we decide to do something fun. So I think with a...

    For Fun: WWYD/Should I?

I love it @Maryann at MiniV ! The lady who sold me the wagon has also offered an Amish broke mini.... I'm trying so hard to decide what to do lol we promised ourselves after we brought home the donkey that there would be no more critters until we bought our own property... but now I have this...

    For Fun: WWYD/Should I?

Oh I like that idea about the engine number on the back! Hubby wants to put Lieutenant "insert hubby's name" on one side and Engineer "insert my name" on the other lol

We haven't been through Financial Peace, but we listen to Dave's podcast regularly. His system has definitely been a blessing in our lives. We're currently on BS3-B. It feels good to know we're ready for emergencies and that we can generally pay for anything we need (within budget of course...

    Your Drive Day

Drug my track with May on Saturday. I usually drag that with the 4 wheeler, but I got a new harness with a collar and I've been dying to use it. I had a blast. Never used horses for real work before lol. She wasn't too sure at first, but dug in quick.

    Drive Me Buggy 2020 Hours

Got another 20 minutes in on Saturday. Tried something new. Hooked May up to my little grate that we drag around my track with the 4 wheeler. Made sure I went both ways around! Lol

I love that idea! I guessed they would probably end up going outside with me too. Maybe a little backpack of some sort might be handy too 🤔 I do looked forward to they day when there are older hands to help out too.

Life questions from a 20 something year old

Thank you Marsha! Fewh, I know people manage, but still scary! And that last bit you said, about disposable income, is something I'm definitely enjoying right now in our lives. We are debt free now and have an emergency fund and all that money can go to saving for property and our future and...

Life questions from a 20 something year old

Hello all! I have been getting a very strong feeling, a promoting if you will, lately that it's time for me to start a family. But I'm terrified. I know that's normal. But I just can't stop overthinking. It's probably selfish, but one of the things I can't stop thinking about is how my...

New baby jack! Missing an eye.

Congrats! He's a cute baby! You asked if anyone had experienced this... I have, kind of. Years ago my uncle had a QH foal born with no eyes. Definitely the weirdest thing I've ever seen, just open sockets. Unfortunately it did not live long. It never really figured out how to navigate or...

    Drive Me Buggy 2020 Hours

Man! I really slacked on my driving last year. The tires in my cart went flat about halfway through the summer and I didn't get them fixed until just last week. We put solid tubes in them so no flat tire ever now! I did ground drive 2 or 3 hours so far this year. And I finally got back...
