    Sick Colt...LONG story

I havent read through all the posts so someone has probably already said this - I would suggest your foal has septicemia (blood infection) that commonly turns into joint ill - the listlessness and fever are very typical signs. As it develops swelling in the joints often begins. Usually starts...

    Coco's realy sick

I wouldn't be too worried about giving him the bute - it can cause stomach ulcers when used for a long period but I very much doubt it will harm him this time. Bute is an antiinflammatory and a painkiller. The dose rate is usually higher for the first day or so and then will be reduced. I also...

    Free choice oats..anyone feed these?

Horses will generally spend most of their time either grazing or just standing round, so it isnt unusual for him to be just chilling for most of the day. Australians?

I feed Hygain Growtorque, boiled linseed, copra, lucerne chaff and lucerne or oaten hay. Please, good thoughts needed for Prints

Please, good thoughts needed for Prints

I havent been following Prints story and I dont have a chance ATM to go through the posts, but the initial details of the temp and the swelling sound very much like septicemia, which can settle in the joints and become septic arthritis (or joint ill). I have just had a foal will very serious...

    Input on stallion

I don't think this horse is stallion quality, even if you get him fat and shiney, the conformation faults are still there and more than likely will be passed on. Even with a good pedigree that is certainly not a promise of a top level horse, just a basis for consistancy of certain traits that...
