tie green filly or loose in trailer?

Ive hired a hauler to ship my horse 2 hours away, its an emergency situation no time to train her properly for the trailer, she is very green, not good at tying, it will be a box stall trailer, shes only been hauled once, to get to me, not sure if she was tied or not. My thought is, she would be...

Def agree Jean, he would be working with both of us...I would just like someone here with more experience incase her and I run into trouble, I tend to freeze up and when the trainer helps he can coach me through the situation and make sure im not missing steps

    Remembering to think positive...tips?

So I realize I get discouraged very quickly when things go poorly while working with equines...so discouraged that I stress all day and dwell about how terrible things went! At times I could just throw in the towel and say why do I even bother? Lose sleep and get a headache. Half the time the...

Is this something she will get used to or is age related?

lol, yes normal but at what age will she have a little more focus when training? And will she begin to get past the herdbound issue as we continue working together or will something eventually click at a certain age? for instance will the herdbound behavior last til age maybe age 2 because shes...

Is this something she will get used to or is age related?

So I just got my new mini on Sunday...shes only 10 months and very herd bound which I imagine is to be expected. I turn her out daily with my pony who is her only pasture mate and the only horse on the property and they get along well. However she has a complete melt down when I turn Nico out...

Plecos (Algae eating fish) In water tanks?

I didnt read the other comments but I will chime in a bit with my exeperience with fish keeping in general. Gernerally plecos wont live long without consistant temps of 75 degrees...temp fluctuations will eventually lead to disease in the fish than in no time the fish die. Im not sure what of...
