    new here, building shafts

I know there are some sites that sell replacement shafts for carts. Would that help you with dimensions . My cart is just a mini easy entry cart that is metal . The whole thing is about one hundred pounds. I like your idea of a sled made for minitures. I live where there is lots of snow. I just...

    How much hay?

When I had quarter horses as a kid we fed the two flakes twice a day. I don't know how much others feed there's .

    How much hay?

If you figure out what they need per day by the formula 1.5% or 2% of a minis weight. Than you will know how long a bale will roughly last you. Than you can figure out how much per month. Once you have what you think you will need I would buy a little more to be safe. My 36" 300# mini eats a...

Windchill -20/40 degree expected tips on keeping animals safe.

I don't have a gfi plug but I should. My bucket hangs on the wall by the inside door and the cord goes up the wall and over the other side to the plug. I feed all the hay my mare can eat on the cold days. When it is cold they need that extra hay. I adjust the amount as she needs. Somedays more...

    Babies can drive too!

I have to tell you that when my trainer has the head stall on the filly is not tied she in in her padock and my trainer is right there with her. Mucking out and doing other chores. She never leaves her alone. She started real slow at just accepting a bit near her filly till the filly wears it...

    Babies can drive too!

My trainer puts a bit in her full sized horse foals between ten months and a year. She has a head stall that she puts on them with a bit on it and leaves it on for a time. Her little filly is now up to 1 1/2 hours. She told me last time I saw her that this filly will be ready for beginning...

I got mine from amazon with free shipping I get four pounds at a time and I can set it up for automatic refill or just a one time order. Edit: here is what I buy http://www.amazon.com/Bobs-Red-Mill-Seeds-16-Ounce/dp/B003LPKEPC/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1388692008&sr=8-4&keywords=Chia+seeds...

As anyone tried Chia vs Physillim and what is their opinion?

Chi does not have a hard shell like flax. I feed chia to my horse and I take it as well. It turns in to a jelly consistency when wet. It supposedly binds to the sand in the gut or something. I do know that it is helping my mare and myself and diabetic sisters and mother. I love it. I give my...

I am so sorry for this poor lady, I can't imagine the pain she is going through. I hope these guys get caught, and given the max for this horrific crime.

    Higher farrier service rates

I pay $35 if I take my mare to the farrier, or up to $60 if the farrier comes out to my place. And I gladly pay it. She works with me so I can do maintenance trims myself and she does the main Trimming every 12 weeks or so. Not many people will do just one mini. So I value her greatly.

    Winter Driving

I don't clip in winter. I take my girl out for a couple miles, I don't have runners on my cart so we just use the tires And drive on the road. You may have to build up conditioning , so that you can go longer in the deeper snow. Good luck and have fun.
