    Horse Games??

I'll PM you when it goes closed alpha. I have a working prototype but it hasn't been touched in about a year. I don't forsee much mass appeal with a Miniature Horse breeding SIM, so I can only work on it when I have spare time but there is an partial working prototype. I don't have any budget...

    Horse Games??

There are tons of horse games, actually. I'm actually working on a Miniature Horse one right now. Well. I'm ASPIRING to work on it. I'm bogged down by other games right now. One day. :: sigh :: Right now I'm stuck working with unicorns and pegasi and anghas. What type of game do you want...

Must we have such pale, nearly unreadable forum text colors?

Due to monitor settings it's entirely possible that it's especially pale on your screen. On mine the contrast is quite good. And high contrast layouts actually hurt my eyes. Pales are kinder. I've come to the conclusion from my own projects that no matter what you do, somebody is going to...

Must we have such pale, nearly unreadable forum text colors?

You can set style overrides in your browser. So you could set it so that these forums are always black and white with huge text if you want. There are also variety of extensions for FireFox, Chrome and Opera that will simplify doing this for you.

Who are your Rolling Ridge horses?

I showed against Rolling Ridge Reflection of Blue years ago. I don't know if you ever saw her in person back then but if you didn't- she was (and still is) SO beautiful. She was a show stopper. I also showed against Rolling Ridge Blue Tiara, another beauty beauty. I showed in Youth Jr Mares...

Opinions, experiences sought on Mac computers....

Really? They have a functioning first generation iMac? You have no idea how lucky they are. LOL. That's sort of like having a Corvair that still runs. When that paticular model came out the school I went to/worked for sold TONS of them to students because they were so cheap, they came in...

Opinions, experiences sought on Mac computers....

Here you're quite wrong. Due to Macs' popularity viruses are indeed out there for them. The only reason Macs didn't "need" antivirus is because they were such a small % of the market nobody bothered writing big nasties for them. That's changing. Rapidly. This is also not true. If anything...

Please help cat not using litter box

Declawed? Litter aversion? Prefers the soft kitty beds? My first thought would be pain. Declawing can leave them with damage that makes litter painful. Using soft things like cat beds or carpet is typical. She may be using the boxes now because she's confined to the space and doesn't want to...

    Laptop Recommendations?

Cheapest Mac is about $1,000, so not even close to within budget. I have 2 of these: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16834215057 You can't get that EXACT one anymore, but you can get the current model. Mine travels around the country with me on business. Doesn't weight anything, fits nicely on a...

Website Hosting Services - Who Do You Use? Fed Up With Mine.

Inmotionhosting. We use them for our studio. I think for the type of solution you need it's maybe $5/month or something, and I'm pretty sure you can get IMAP instead of the usual awful POP email protocol for that. I do NOT suggest going through any sort of reseller (sounds like what you've got...

    New Job / Taking Clients?

Read your employment contract to see how "poaching" of clients is discussed.

What do you think of this type of Parenting?

I was nodding with everything you said until this. Your mom thought your sister making her bed was more important than her education? Your mom was so furious your sister didn't make her bed she drove down to the school, dragged your sister out of class, took her home, had her make the bed and...

HELP!!! Ready to pull my hair out! Looking for alternative email program!

Outbook is in the Local Folders by default. (You should have your "mail" box, then another set called "Local") I'm not sure if this happens with Thunderbird set to POP but it does happen when set to IMAP- the program tries to save the Sent message to your server folder, which can cause a really...

HELP!!! Ready to pull my hair out! Looking for alternative email program!

I don't know how comparable Outlook and WinMail are. I would *guess* they're built off the same codebase and MS has made it so that WinMail users could "step up" into Outlook. I am not certain if it's possible to import contacts across the two programs. If I were to hazard another guess, I'd say...

HELP!!! Ready to pull my hair out! Looking for alternative email program!

Thunderbird is the general go-to alternative to the MS email products and you can harness it up to "the cloud" as well. Plays nice with stuff sent from Exchange servers. Or at least tries to. iCalender support is really good now. If you want Outlook AND don't already have a copy of MS Office...

What could be wrong with this stupid computer?

You mention 2 issues: the DSL thingy and the computer. Does the computer work when NOT attached to the network? Does the computer go through this no-boot drama and then work after a few pokes with a stick? (You do not make it clear if it's actually usable with enough patience, or if it's not...

    stallions frozen semen

Not anymore. Had confirmed cases in the past 18 months, although limited exposure. Special CEM protocol (though not quarantine) required for Canada now. ;\

    stallions frozen semen

Important also is will it get a mare pregnant. There are a couple of famous warmblood stallions who are known to be "iffy" when it comes to freezing. Argentinus was a really good example. No trouble getting mares pregnant at the station or via AI. Frozen? Notoriously iffy, no matter the batch...

    stallions frozen semen

Oz has some of the most stringent and difficult quarantine regimes in the world. The cost isn't getting the stallion frozen. The cost is in getting the stallion frozen in such a way that meets the requirements of whatever country you're shipping the stuff too. Oz is notoriously difficult.

What was the first miniature register with AMHA & AMHR

I think I have a complete set from 1982(?)-2005, although I'm missing most of 2002 and some of 2003. That's a lot of scanning. I also have Miniature Marketsheets, the Miniature Horse Voice (a New England publication from the mid 1990s) and New England Miniature (a New England pub from the...
