Before purchasing a "pure Falabella" it is wise to check out the pedigree with the British Falabella Studbook, Falabella Stamboek Europa or the FMHA. If they won't register a horse as pure Falabella it is because it isn't.

I have a parental DNA report completed by AHT (Newmarket) for an IFMHS registered "pure Falabella" proving that the sire is a British Spotted Miniature and completely non-Falabella. The IFMHS has many registered "pure Falabellas" with this horse in their lines which makes them less than 100%...

Bit late for an answer, but I've only just joined. My pure Falabella stallion (born 2000) is the son of 2 direct Falabella Ranch imports and has Juancito (Cumaimen x Lapataia) as a great grandfather. Maybe he covered mares in Argentina before being exported.

Hi, For some reason I'm unable to pm Rabbitsfizz direct. I'm hoping that since she was familiar with Mrs Seymour's horses, she may also recall her Falabella mare called Blackbird. Or is anyone else able to give me information about this mare please? Cheers!
