I've opened my gift, and my Secret Santa was great. I will definitely be using everything! Thank you so much MindyLee! I had absolutely NO idea what the iris toes were at all until I read the card which I had not seen at first. They looked like foal hooves to me through the paper they were...
I don't have any "posed" pictures but here are a few from the field of one of my all around gelding. He was just shown last weekend. I've only been working him a couple of times a week so he's not in top shape just yet.
She is pretty!
I don't have any experience with horses going grey, but he is progressively getting more and more white hairs scattered all over his body but when clipped he still looks pretty black. I honestly don't know what's going to happen with him!
My new gelding who I absolutely adore, AWF Aristocrats Inheritance.
This was his first year showing and he received a top 5 Futurity win in halter at nationals.
Can't wait to see how he does next year.
I personally like the more "traditional" colors (gold, burgundy, silver, or just black) with the plain sides and added conchos. I guess the colored would look ok on some, but it's just what I think looks best.
Sorry about loosing your foal.
We have a Supreme Dream daughter too that it was her first year to foal but she absorbed it and it was our only bred mare this year.
Hooflex works really well on coats and getting nice dapples even though it's mainly recognized as a hoof supplement. For their manes and forelocks for showing, Moisture Max looks good and it's not really greasy.
Thanks everyone
She did rub a lot of her mane last year but it's growing in, slowly but still coming.
She did pretty well at the show getting a few 2nds in really nice classes considering she was throwing a fit the whole time. I don't know what was going on with her, I think she was scared of...
This is Ericas Big City Showgirl, a 2 year old 32.50" filly. These are newly clipped pictures of her her after a show she went to a couple of weeks ago.
I love this filly, she's the sweetest thing but she is a little ball of fire too
And I think she looks like she will drive too next...
I agree, all the horses look so fragile now and people think these are improvements in the breed? I didn't understand why they didn't put more focus on Eight Belles as well after the race was over. It just showed a horse down but didn't even say who unless I missed it at first.
I loved Eight Belles and it's such a tragedy poor mare.
I noticed it looked liked something happened but I didn't even know she was down until it showed her on the ground afterwards.
Apparently the outrider was already there and all of a sudden both ankles just collapsed and she immediately...
