I've alway heard that a good Stallion makes a greater gelding. Geldings are so much easier to take care of since they can go out with the other horses and they seem to be happier. Plus they have an easier time keeping their mind on what they are doing.

I will not even look at a horse with Impressive bloodlines. I don't want a flipper or to deal with HYPP. There are too many other nice horses out there.

May I ask this horse's breeding? If this horse has Impressive in it bloodlines the problem may be inherited. The impressive line are known flippers. Not all do this, but alot of them do and they pass it on. I personally have know 3. One was a broodmare that every foal she had did this...

I havn't had a horse get bitten by a copperhead, but one of our dogs got bit by one on the neck. Our Vet told us that if he was going to get bit by a snake that copperhead were the least venomous. The biggest problem is swelling blocking the airway. Good luck with your foal.

The only conway buckle on my harness from Ron's is where the crupper attaches to the saddle. All the rest are regular buckles.
