Hi everyone! I am very happy to report Goldie was released from the hospital today!!!! She still has a long recovery process but she is alive! Her baby is still doing well also! Thank you so so much for all your thoughts and prayers! Wish you all a very healthy foaling season!

Vet called this morning and I am so happy to report she pooped!!!! He said it wasn't a lot and it was pretty nasty looking and smelly but something made it thru! Most of the stomach blockage is gone though she can still get or have more blockages elsewhere. He also let me come visit her today...

Sorry to say still not great news. They are working hard at breaking up the blockage but still nothing is passing thru. I feel so helpless and wish I could do something to help make her better. Hope to report better news tomorrow!

Well I have good and bad news. They found a large blockage in her stomach and are trying to break it up and suck it out thru some sort of nasal tube with a probe on it. The vets (she has a whole staff now- surgical, medical and reproduction specialists) seemed pretty happy that they finally...

Thanks again for all your support and prayers! I wish I had better news to report. She was brighter this morning and her ammonia levels were down. However, this afternoon her liver levels are rising and she is now being treated for Hyperlipidimia as well as a possible blockage. Still no poop...

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I am so upset. Vet just called and now her ammonia levels are high. They are watching her liver enzymes also since she didn't eat today. She still hasn't passed manure but she is on heavy fluids and they are trying to flush out any blockages if possible...

My precious Goldie is very sick in the intensive care hospital. She possibly has a blockage so it is very touch and go. She is 9 months pregnant also. Please keep her and her unborn baby in your thoughts and prayers they really need it!!!
