I had a filly born Friday night that is a solid black with one blue eye......which gene causes blue eyes? Sire is sold black and dam is a cremello tobiano. But her sire may have been a splash?

I have always loved the grulla color. Would love to see what everyone has..... Here is one of mine, a yearling colt. Sire is a black and his dam is a grulla. He isn't fully clipped yet as it is too cold yet, even though he is stalled in a heated barn.

Beyond the obvious tobiano and creme, which we know he carries. He also has a partial blue eye.

So, I have 6 foals....and we have had lots and lots of rain so we have horrible mosquitoes.... most of the foals are quite hairy, but I figure it helps keep the mosquitoes off of them...but now it is hot...so do I clip them and then have to keep the sprayed which doesn't work as much as I would...
