How many of you DID NOT breed for the season..

The reason I did not breed LAST year for babies this year is because I need to sell some and saw no reason to breed for more if I was able to sell the ones I had. I did get a new stud last year and am just DIEING to see what I get from him.... but as it looks I will not be breed THIS year...

    frontline plus

Just a FYI I am in NO way knocking tring to save a buck. Lord knows I am doing that right now too. Just want you to know that if you ever have a problem with Frontline (there is a lot of bootleg products out there) and you did NOT buy it at a vet clinic, Merial will not honor their product...

Question for those with large breed dogs....

I work at a vet clinic and have only seen 1 torsion in the 5 years I have been there. This happened to a Chow. Saying this we had a lady who owned a Bermese Mountain Dog and had the "tacking" done due to loosing a previous one to a torsion. After a month or so the dog started have bad problems...

What do you think about someone selling a dwarf for profit?

RESPONSIBLITY That pretty much sums it all up. You need resposible breeders, owners, sellers and buyers. So yes selling a dwarf may not be the "end of the world" , but whos to say all parties involved are doing the right thing for the dwarf. I know there is ALWAYS that one bad apple that ruins...

What do you think about someone selling a dwarf for profit?

The problem with "selling" dwarves to whoever has the most money is that the people may be able to "buy" the "special needs" pet without really knowing what is in store for them as well as the "pet" in the future. I don't know HOW many people has offered me big $$$$$ for Doll, and the after...

    Goats and Minis...good or bad

I raise Pygmies and don't have any problems out of them with the horses... all but 2 are dehorned. I personally HATE horns and dehorn everything born here. They pretty much stay away from each other. Horse chace them when they are feeling frisky but the goats hit the fence and are out of there...

Ok my 2 cents worth on Rain Rot.... I work at a vet clinic for starters. I have a Biggy mare that got a HORRIBLE case of this on her rump.. in her white spots no less. She was scratching her spots till they bled. Well I went to work... got novasan mixed and was going to treat with that...

Ok my 2 cents... they are VERY LOUD... oh I guess you know that now... I have one and his name is Jose!!! He is my DADS bird... he sleeps with dad and everything when he is home on weekends.. They bond with the people well, but if they dont' like you they will draw blood. He HATES my son and...

    Stock tank heaters

I have a floater.... and when I first started using it my moms gelding would yank it out. Now they ignore it...... It's in there now and has been for a week. At first I had to run it through the cattle panels and tie the cord to the panel. that stopped them taking it out. April

I have a filly that gets into, onto and goes through EVERYTHING!!! There is a pile of lumber and tin in the yatd. I let them out in the yard to eat and she will be in the big middle of it. Then I had a box van that I keep hay in ... I left the door open and within 2 minutes she was IN it helping...

    OTR truck drivers wife

Well I'm not married to one (yet) but my boyfriend is and I see him when he comes within 100 miles of me. We talk at night. Don't hear much from him on weekends. We both have a lot of things to do on weekends. Thats when my daddy (OTR driver too) comes home. BTW he will be home in a few hours...

    hay cost?

I don't have any pregos this year so I buy mixed (fescue orchard and other grasses) round bales that weigh in at about 1200 to 1500 pounds. One will last me 9 days with feeding 16 minis and one biggy. I pay $30.00 a bale and it is barn kept. First cutting this year. My horses clean every bit of...
