How do you hook up your mini when alone?

I always have the reins in my hand while hitching. I know my horse will stand and as minimor said practice, practice. Everyone learns a different way. Pick and choose what you feel comfortable with your amount of experience. What I did while training my gelding is to make him stand and...

How do you hook up your mini when alone?

I was taught as Rabbitfizz said. Never tie a horse while being hitched. Even in our driving club it is frowned upon to tie a horse while putting to cart and unhitching. It takes practice and once you have formed a routine your horse will get it. Safety always first.

    A Bit and an underbite?

Sorry no pictures yet, but as you can tell everybody has an underbite ;) You can still use a bit. You just have to work on her accepting the bit and it will all come together. Sorry so vague but there is alot of great advice here.

    A Bit and an underbite?

My gelding has a severe underbite and he drives, eats fine. His teeth are checked every year and I think as long as you are aware of your horses habits you should be fine. I will try to post a picture.

    Gelding eating droppings!!

I had that problem with my gelding last year. He was on a bagged low starch hay and a quality grain. Baffled, I changed to a baled timothy/orchard mix and started using a slowfeed hay net. So far it has worked.

Help me solve my baking mystery!

In my experience the problem was the stove. The temperature was off by 25 degrees and when we got a new stove, everything was coming out perfect.

Show Harness - What should I get?

For a first harness you can't go wrong with one from Ozark or Star Lake tack. If you prefer a no maintenance one, then go for the biothane/betat (non-shiney) if you want more a or refined and "showy" harness you might want the shiny biothane. I personally have had both and prefer the look of...

    Dog grooming costs?

I think is sounds reasonable. I have a miniature schnauzer and it was $45 for him. Since I clip my horse, I now clip him myself. He looks great and I have people said great clip on your guy! Makes me feel good as I am not a professional!
