    Web sites important?

Wondering how you feel about maintaining web sites for your Miniature Horses. Do you think they are still a good way to promote your farm? Or have they been replaced by something else. (Hope this is the correct place to put this)

    Amateur vs Open Halter

AMHA. In amateur i understand you need a card/number. If you were planning on showing a couple times a year would it be in your best interest to show in Amateur or open? Not in it for points right now, just testing the waters. Do the pros fit into the open classes?

    Hats for halter class?

I know you wear a hat for showmanship classes but i am wondering do you see women wearing hats in AMHA halter classes? I can't recall if i have seen the gals wearing hats or not, men yes. Can you take it off to get your horse to set their ears without being overlooked by the judge?

    pros/cons for fly masks

Do you use fly masks on your Minis if the flies get bad? Normally don't have a problem with flies but this year is different. I am considering getting some if i can find a good deal. What do you all think?

Beautiful day for a driving trail ride. There were 9 singles and my team on the drive. What a way to relax. Took this over the heads of my mares.

    Horse question on desert living

If you live in the desert, say like Arizona, where you have very little if any grass how do you manage your herd? Do you have to use products like sand clear monthly and how do you manage "pasture" time. Are your lots or pasture real sandy? Curious and hope someone here actually lives in the...

A year ago October i sold a weanling colt to a gal. She called and wanted to return him as her hubby didn't like horses, marriage problems and she is PG so couldn't care for him or afford to board him. She loved him and wanted a good home for him so she brought him last night. I was afraid of...

    Update on my colt

I had the vet out this morning and she gave him an IV, some VGB diarrhea control paste and some meds. Heart and lungs are good. A little premie but hopefully will do better soon. He was tired from all the handling so didn't want to get up for his pics. Thanks again for your support.

    Using pedialyte

I have a new colt born saturday evening at 314 days. Now i know this is not considered premie for a lot of mares, but this little guy is premie. His mom dripped and waxed for 6 days, then quit for about 5 days and then streamed milk for 2 days before he was born. To be on the safe side i gave...
