    Little America

Here is my daughter's favorite: Lymrick's Irresistible Force 32" tall. He is known as Guinness and has over 40 AMHA titles in driving mostly, including eight World Grand or Reserve Champions in Single Pleasure and Roadster, both Amateur and Open. We have over 130 head, all pictured on our...

    💕 Baby Nova’s Cuteness Journal 💕

Nova is back home at Little America! Kelly and I met in Waco to exchange her while I was at the Texas Farm Bureau state convention in Waco. I am glad to have her back because we only have one other Guinness (Lymrick's Irresistible Force) daughter and one yearling colt. At the AMHA World Show...

    Soaked Alfalfa and/or Grain?

We feed both to the horses in the barn. Those in the pastures get oats in the morning and always have access to coastal hay if the pastures are weak as they have been most of this year Those in the barn are fed twice a day.

    Comparison of Pedigree

We have a son of Bolero and his offspring seem to be at the top or very near at almost every show. Not being able to see pictures, that would be my pick. Here is our Bolero son who was AMHA World Champion as a two-year- old and his first foals are outstanding. Los Arboles Bolero Sweet Dream.

Harness and shaft assembly for driving triples

I was trying to remember what it was called and finally remembered. Troika. Had a customer in Russia who sent me pictures of that setup and I have seen it a few times at the AMHA World Show years ago. Russian Troika

    Stifle joint

My experience that most out grow it, but I have had the surgery done a couple of times. Both were successful. It usually occurs most during the growth period during the yearling year. If it shows up later and is only intermittent, I would not be too concerned about it. The two that I had...

    Minis that cant get along

If you put a fence between them, rest assured, they will NEVER get along. We run our stallions together during the non breeding season and they do fine. Some determine to be dominant and the rest accept it after a few days. When we put them in breeding pastures with their own mares, they...

Why measure to last mane hair?

For those who are really interested, when the AMHA first started there was much discussion regarding not only the size cutoff, but also the method of measuring. For AMHA, 34" was finally a compromise for those forming the registry. Some wanted 36" and others as small as 30'". The reason for...
