    Question on Pinto registry and value...

    We only show ours Pinto because we also have big horses at the same shows. I've seen very stiff competition and some very easy competition. It all depends on who is showing.

    Who still has foals or minis for sale?

    It always depends on what you want to do. I have a gelding that is an excellent performer for sale. You have to be in charge with him. Tucker He is out of the ontario area but check out pictures and video. With any horse, watch the demeanor, confirmation and movement.

    What would cause this?

    One more consideration. Halter is only a small part of showing. There are plenty of world champion horses that don't place well in halter if at all. If your horse moves well and is sound but not conformed well, driving, jumping showmanship etc are all quite possible.

    Trimming may help some. Our mini's front toes point out because he grows faster on the outside than inside. If we keep him trimmed he is very straight and has many points in halter. Your ferier should be a good source. It does depend on where they turn out. Obviously my experience could be...

    Sharing your Show Secrets

    I've used both a palm sander and a drill with a sanding disc. The drill is much faster but takes a little practice. I'll probably take a block to the next show to get the hooves off the ground.
