    How to hold the lines?

I prefer the Achenbach style like to be used at CDE's (at least here in Europe). It was developed especially for safe driving.

    ASPR and NSPPR Heights

Sorry, but I wouldn't approve to mix the shows for AMHA and AMHR/ASPC. Why shoud I pay a lot of money to hardship my horses into AMHR? Who would pay at the registry for the extra work keeping up point tabulation for these horses? Any AMHA could be registered with AMHR so no need for mixing the...

    Which division/class to choose?

Hi, I need the advice of you all. I have recently bought a very nice 20 y-o stallion. He is now registered with ASPC and is on the way to hardshipping into AMHR (he is 37" at his last mane hair). You can find his pedigree at http://www.allbreedp...nders moon beam if it helps. He has lost an...

    micro chipping

I have actually never heard that the 132 chips can be reprogrammed. But it would be same in vice versa if here a horse with a 125 chip would be found: Most just wouldn't detect it.

    micro chipping

I would like to add that Avid is not very well known in Europe. There are some scanners reading them here availible but these aren't common. At least in Germany we are using a sort of microchip called "ISO-type".

    New web site done!

Well done - very nice horses. I really like the Arenosa breeding.

    ASPR and NSPPR Heights

I am no expert but in my understanding ASPR can be Hackney, Shetland or Hackney x Shetland. With NSPR at least one parent has to be registered with ASPC or AMHR and the offspring whois going to be registered will need to be DNA'd. Beginning this year the parent of the offspring just need to be...

Leasing horses mare or stud questions?

I have leased a mare to a friend since last year. I know him very well and he wants company for his other AMHA mare. We have discussed all scenarios and we have made an agreement. I visit them at least once a month and I hear of him once a week. I don't ask for money, but he helps me...

    Problem with mare aborting

Perhaps it would be helpto switch studs? Some mare - stallion combination just doesn't work... Otherwise I would try Regumate too with veterany supervision.

    1st German sanctioned ASPC/AMHR show

I have been told that family Oberlaender is related to family Grober. Family Grober imported back in the 60's (?) at least two stallions Jiggs (Daytona's Jiggs) and Daytona's Time Piece (Patton's Time Piece) and some mares. Now I have heard that there was some imports to GB as well.

Just to add a little "Awww" to your day!

This is such a cute picture! My maiden mare isn't a protective mother neither. My colt is very independent too. She has improved now and I am glad to hear that it is the same with you.

Is that really registered ?( or are you just saying that )

I don't believe that there will be much cheating with german pedigrees. The stallion of mine was DNA'd to proof his parentage to get registered with the german breeding association. You need a registered mare and a form especially for her breedings. You have to pay for that per year. Then the...

Is that really registered ?( or are you just saying that )

This is exactly how it works. Here in Germany are quite a few of these ponies. My newest addition, a beautiful 20 y-o stallion, is offspring of an imported mare so he was registered in Germany. The former owner just wasn't interested in registering with ASPC. He is DNA'd and I have sent in the...

Is that really registered ?( or are you just saying that )

I know what you are talking about. This is why I refuse to work with CASP. They just keep telling their members that they have pure bred ASPC with ASPIR paper. I have tried to work with them because now german registered horses with pure and proofed ASPC heritage can be hardshipped to ASPC...
