Your recommendations on 'whole horse' clippers?

I know there has over time been discussion of clippers here; I have been asked for a recommendation of what are considered good 'starter' clippers, capable of doing a 'whole' horse at a time, but light, effective, and user-friendly. I have Double K's, and have had Laubes in the past. but it's...

Anyone been watching certain other new 'mini-series' made for TV?

The thread on "Under the Dome" prompted me to ask who may be/have been, watching such mini series as: "Falling Skies" --I like it a lot, because I like certain kinds of sci-fi, and think this is pretty well-scripted and acted: "The Bridge" on FX--very adult and sometimes gory...but I look...

    Have you all heard?

It has been announced that Pacific Carriage is going out of business; Bill Schuil is retiring. As I recall, the announcement said that they will 'use up' what they have on hand to build a few more vehicles, and I *think*, will have some parts available. Pacific built the 'Smart Cart' for...

Loss of a legendary, pioneering comedianne...Phyllis Diller

I was quite saddened to hear that Phyllis Diller had died(at the age of 95!) She did her last show...in Vegas, I believe...at the age of 84. We LOVED Phyllis Diller; would be SURE to watch any show that featured her, back in the day. She was genuinely hilarious, never off-color(at least, never...

    "Perfect" new dog....but, health question?

I recently agreed to re-home a 7 YO red Doberman; a beloved pet, but in a busy young growing family who realized they were too 'on the go' to give her the attention she needs and craves. "Dayna" is a 'perfect' dog for me; loyal, loving, obedient, doesn't challenge the fences, gets along fine w/...

    Canine 'training' collars??

I am asking for your knowledgeable experiences and/or considered opinions(good OR bad!), about the use of 'invisible fencing' for dog containment purposes. I have full perimeter fencing on most of my 10 acres, BUT, it is standard field net wire field fencing, two strands of barbLESS wire...

    Extraordinary TV viewing experience...

Did anyone else watch the documentary film shown on Oprah's network tonight, entitled "Serving Life"? I'd like to suggest that anyone interested, take a look at the websites of a different kind of horse feed that I recently read about on a different but horse-oriented forum. I was intrigued, so went to the feed website - www.thrivefeed.com/Landing.html - (click on the various subjects on the...

    "Shackleford" won the Preakness, but...

..in the parade to the post---the big Paint "pony" horse that had an "indian" bridle on. Only a cord or line through the mouth, crossed under its lower jaw, it appeared..NO headstall, nothing else. I was impressed;betting that is one SOLID AS A ROCK ole horse.
