    Neck sweating

OK just started sweating one of the gelding's necks this past week. Used a fleece lined neoprene that is maybe 10in wide. Topped with a full neck neoprene. I just took both off and noticed some crustiness and hair loss on one spot on his neck. We had lots of rain over the last two days and my...

    Arena footing

Our arena/ring is almost complete. It will be 140 x 80. Now to come up with some sort of footing. I know coarse sand or washed screenings are best but at this point a bit out of budget. Has anyone used wood chips? We will be using the ring for driving as well as halther obstacles and jumping...

The IG boys at three months

We actually had a day warm enough to take pictures outside. I was so NOT keeping anything out of this litter since they were all boys. Blue is usually not my favorite color. I even pretty much had the blue boy sold into a show home that would not only show but Special him once he finished his...

Anyone changed the color of pinstripes?

My "new to me" cart is black with red pinstripes. My driving horses are red roan and palomino. I am not sure the red trim will be the best color for them. Has anyone changed the stripes on their cart (without doing a complete refinish?) If so how hard or easy is it?

I now have a show cart!

Just picked a new to me show cart! I am so excited. Nothing fancy just a nice Graber, black with red pinstripes. But a big improvment over my current wood EE for showing in. Now I need to find a cover ( any suggestions?) and get a closed wheel conversion kit.

    #%&@ people with invisable fences

Have been planning on driving Frosty in an upcoming Xmas parade so decided to take him out yesterday afternoon to see how he would react to bells. Of course like almost everything else he was not fazed. We have been driving up and down our road for several months now. Quite a few people don't...

    Digital Art

I found a great digital artist on Facebook. She had been doing portraits of dogs. I asked if she could do horses and she was willing to give it a try. She did Shira first ( in my avatar) and now Jack. Her work is completely digital all of it done on the computer.

    Color class question

I think I know the answer but wanted to ask to be sure. If I want to show my red roan gelding in color class he should be entered in the solid color correct? Even though he is really multi colord I am thinking multi color class is just for apps and pintos.
