    Papers, what would you do?

The only reason she was offered to these people with out the papers as they had great references and had claimed to not want to breed and wanted to keep. While I understand situations change I also asked to be the first to be told if they needed to get rid of or sell. So I could evaluate at that...

    Papers, what would you do?

Situation foal was offered for sale. Very nice people came along perfect home or so it seemed but they didn't have the money for the foal and so I said that they could have her at a significant discount if they didn't want the paperwork. They have since sold her and the new owner wants papers as...

Do you blanket a mare after foaling?

I have blanketed my mares after foaling. I pin the sides in her flank up with the diaper pins. But now I have two blankets that have the sides shorter in those area's made by Show Right Fashions. They have almost a semi circle out on either side to make it easy for the foals to nurse initially...

Would there be interest with NSPR if offered at Mini Nationals?

If NSPR Classes were offered at either Nationals or Congress I would definitely show. I have a wonderful wonderful Curly who is also registered NSPR. And currently have 2 AMHR mares in foal to him. And so their foals would be eligible as well.

    Went to a fair. Dissapointed.

Completely alone. There was no one around with the mini. All the other exhibits had people. The other animals were friendly and happy. It was just the mini who was angry.

    Went to a fair. Dissapointed.

I went to a fair yesterday. And as most fairs do they had animals in pens for people to look at. And I was very disappointed by the miniature horse display. All the others had tons of information ect on the animals. There was minimal information on the miniature horse even as a breed. Not to...

    KUDOS to AMHA

I am glad to hear that measuring was strict and tight. I am one of those people who no matter how many times I try and measure my horses I can never do it right. So I always enter the taller height category and if I move to a smaller one I am happy. If I have a horse that is really close or...

    Blue Eyes

Hello Matt73 I have mostly blue eyed horses. And its the dark eyed horses I have that have the gunky eyes. My stallion if his forelock gets short (from rubbing) And it pokes him in the eye then his eyes will gunk up. They are all a little more sensitive to the light but don't seem to gunk.
