    Posting Video Help Needed

I saw a .mov file from HersheyMint I downloaded it, but I needed to load another 'codec' to view it. I am thinking some sites may be uncomfortable with .mov format so I converted it to .mv4 format which is widely accepted with a free trial converter (sorry about the ad.) I think you will maybe...

    Thunder Cycle

Not my rig - I have an ancient sulky rig with wire spoke wheels, wooden shafts and no swingle-tree, and a horse often used for carriage driving - a Morgan - and a carriage harness in webbing from an Amish harness-maker: but this trio has never met each other in action.

    Thunder Cycle

Here is an irish pony cart - as you can see, there appears to be no swingle-tree.

    Thunder Cycle

It finally dawned on me: if the traces are fixed to the cart, it will swing side to side as the horse pulls first with one shoulder then the other. The pivot of the swingle-tree in the middle keeps the cart pointed in the desired direction.

I pretty much chased my tail on this request Marsha. I THOUGHT I had lifted from a friend whose husband works at the college at Stillwater, but when I finally asked her, she said "Not my picture!" So I cannot follow up with any more info. Sorry!

Looking For A Better Tool To Trim A Hoof

I have been looking at nipper alternates. This is the best candidate so far. A Walmart "Hypertough" brand angle grinder and 1.5 amp.hr li-ion battery , (about $40) and a flap disk about $10. The gold colored wheel has more aggressive teeth, but it tends to jump, when used single handed. The...

    County Fair

Imagine! A county fair with only one rabbit! At the Jackson County fair down the road, a few years back, there were good showings in poultry - miniature English game fowl caught our eye, so we took home a trio and before too long we were over-run with them, until a friend took pity on us and...

    2021 Projects

Interesting topic! Wiki tells me chromium (3) sulphate is the bees knees, though it may be that some are still using oak or hemlock bark for the tannin?

I dropped a silver dollar screw-on concho recently, and found that they are easy to come by, if you are happy with silver-plate!
