Two nice horses for sale for months, and not even a bite... I wonder what I am doing wrong? I priced them at "market value" last summer and got no interest... wanted them gone before winter so I dropped them WAY down... have had no interest and here comes spring. They absolutely must be gone by...

Love 'em. Some horses are more into them than others....some prefer other flavours. They are best if hung in the middle of the stall so they cannot brace them against a wall to bite chunks off of.... Ive never had anyone seem sick from them though, even when then consume half, or more, in one...

Buyers/Show people: Do you show geldings? Yes! I am more inclined to put extra effort into training a gelding to show in more events because that is their "job"... they are not earning awards to increase their own value as a breeding horse (such as a mare or stallion is)... they are increasing...

Andrea, that is very true.... but it did happen to me (not for $7,500 of course, haha).

I can definately understand selling a colt, as a gelding, to a home that is then going to show and promote the horse... that looks GREAT for the breeder and I would be all for that. But what about... if the offer is from a "pet home"... they want to take your AWESOME stallion/colt and geld him...

Nothing. I dont even have the option of keeping them in a nice warm barn when it gets that cold. They have a run-in, there is a heater in the water, and I give them extra hay inside the shelter. I'd certainly never blanket and take away their natural defense against the cold. I love seeing how...
