White Tail Farm is situated on 100+ acres in Charles County, Maryland - Southern Maryland - and currently home to 95 registered miniature horses. While White Tail Farm started in 1981, our miniature breeding program has just celebrated it's 6th anniversary in 2013 and our 6th foaling season. Our breeding stallions consist of 4 Buckeroo sons, one L&D Scout son, two Billy Idol sons, one BTU son, one Double Destiny son and one L&D Scout grandson.
We primarily breed Buckeroo but have other well known champion pedigrees as well which we are crossing with Buckeroo. January 2011 added a 3x world champion son of L&D Scout to cross to our Buckeroo mares. Look for those foals in 2012 - should be a fabulous offering! 2012 we added another Buckeroo son, another Billy Idol son and a Double Destiny son whose foals arrived in 2013.
2012 was the first foal crop year that we had large enough numbers to offer a wide variety of foals and bred mares to the public. Until now, we've been keeping the best fillies to become future broodmares for our own program. We had our first online auction in 2012 offering 20+ horses including mares with foals at side. One of the colts sold in this auction made his driving debut in the 2013 AMHR Nationals placing top 5 in both classes and won numerous stakes classes on his way qualifying for Nationals. Many gems can be purchased through private farm auctions.
2011 we attended the AMHA World Show in Ft Worth, TX and met many people we'd only spoken to through the internet. That was the highlight of our year. Very impressive show!
