I had one with very similar symptoms. We gave pepto and a number of things. Turned out to be sand.....gave Sand Clear within a week the persistent loose stool finally checked up. Hope that helps .

Just wanted to thank everyone for there input. I sent priority mail and got confirmation that they recieve it last week. Just didn't know how long it would take to get back. We have had some mail stolen lately right out of the box ......they better not touch my papers!!! LOL Thanks again.

She was very beautiful and I am sure you will miss her .........so sorry for your loss. Hopefully you will find out what caused this(in the autopsy) and help others from her experience.

He was in large pasture that had mostly bermuda grass never stalled. From what I was told he was on Omelene 300 , little hay , and grazing of course. Here I plan on stalling him at night and during the heat of the day.

Thanks guys! I will try straw again in a few days and keep a close eye of him. Little booger its only day one and got me worried to death! He was actually enjoying the straw and turning his nose up to the feed and hay before I removed it. Now he is eating fine. Thanks again!

Sorry his is little over 4 months. He continued to eat it so I took it out for now. Tried wood chips he was eating them. Now just put down some hay. He wants to eat things on the ground.

Hello I got one of my foals today. I brought him home and put him in the stall right away to get adjusted. The stall had fresh wheat straw down. He started to eat it so I quickly gave feed and hay. He ate alittle feed but still turns back and eats the staw. I don't think he know what to do...

Thanks!!! I just didn't feel right about it and glad I asked. We put alot of $ in to a 10 acre pasture that is divided into 2 areas. (Don't plan on leaving them out 24/7 on it but turned out twice daily. We also have dry lot for them.) We had everything plowed up down to dirt and re-seeded...
