    Halter rubs eye

My guy is 30" and the noseband does drop down. It is a Weaver halter. I'll have to get some measurements and try another. Thanks for all your tips on leading.

    Halter rubs eye

Here's a photo. It's not a good one. I'll have to figure out how to decrease the size of my other photo

    Halter rubs eye

Boy do I feel like a dum dum posting this question....Why does my mini's halter slide up to his eye on the leading side? We are working on leading and giving to pressure. He drags along at times and the halter rubs his eye. It also happens when I'm holding him for the farrier. He's about 30" and...

    Sand Clear??

My friend just lost her mini last week to sand colic and founder (at the same time). I give mine a mini sized portion of a generic Sand Clear product one week every month.

    Feeding 4yo stud

    Feeding 4yo stud

Here's an updated photo taken last night. Is that bit of rib showing OK? They are easily felt, too.

He's my first mini so I'm not sure if the ribs showing at all are normal or not. I've only had him for a week. I'm...

    Feeding 4yo stud

I don't know when he was wormed by the previous owner, perhaps not at all (she had him for about 6-7 months). I just gave him Strongid yesterday. I also have a Panacur Power Pak and thought about doing the 5 day regime with him. I also have all the materials to do a fecal egg check. He wasn't...

    Feeding 4yo stud

I did a lot of reading and researching before bringing home my mini, but now I suddenly feel like I don't know what to feed. I have a 4yo stud who will be gelded Oct/Nov. He has a good sized belly, but you can see his ribs when he moves and feel them easily. Each day he gets 1/4lb Triple Crown...
