my horses like plastic milk jugs i hang on fences/stalls. iremove the caps and the plastic ring that is left when the cap is unscrewed. i will sometimes put larger rocks in the jug to "rattle".

how come when you want to buy something specific nobody has it-until you have paid an inflated price-then everyone has one for sale.

love them. i have had poodles for about 50 years. raised the red ones for a while. now have a chocolate(latte) and a half poodle and half dauchhund(reba)-she's a blast!

went "online" and found a hand cranked grinder from of all places walmart. ordered one and have ground a couple of shelled ears of corn. it took a couple of meals but now they slick it up. that should lessen the feed bill. now i need to find some one to butcher a few roosters(i cannot kill them...

i just got a pick-up box load of ear corn. the chickens won't eat the corn i shelled for them so i assume i will have to crack the kernels. what do you use to crack the corn?

i had a very intersting visit to monticello-thomas jeffersons home. history, agriculture. if you pay to get in with a 20 dollar bill you get a 2 dollar bill with jefferson on it.

i had a good team of mares that foundered on the urine from a billy goat-like with walnut bedding. therefore i will never have a billy in with the horses again.

and some just need time to mature. i've had one that would not cooperate until he was 5-6 years old and then drove like a dream. and was a gelding all that time.

my breakfast is a banana on my way to the barn---so the boys get the banana peels. they LOVE them. one banana peel gets divided for 6 horses.

for a "diet" grilled cheese-just toast the bread, put on cheese, and microwave until cheese is melted. sorry couldn't drain all the calories!!!!

i started "collecting" for my retirement years ago. my girls even have contributed for christmas and birthdays. i've been retired for just short of 7 years.---maybe i'llwork on some of them when i'll be able to see after i recover from having cataract surgery in a couple weeks.
