I first saw thorough equine dental care in the early 1990s from some of the non-veterinarians that resurrected the study and application of that part of horse health care starting vigorously in the 1980s. Vet schools have not been offering much information on the subject, and a few of them are beginning to do so lately. Significantly, some of them utilize non-vets to instruct the vets, although you will not find them admitting such on their online sites nor in their literature.
I strongly support the horse owner's right to choose the practitioners for their horses.
