I am a psychotherapist who specializes in trauma work and especially with dissociative disorders. I have had a therapy dog for 5 years and he is invaluable in sessions with clients. I've wanted to add equine assisted therapy for years and am finally making the leap. I purchased a show mare and a colt with plans to get certified this Spring for equine therapy. I'm shopping for a cart for the mare who drives and plan to train the colt when he is old enough. It's been an adjustment going from full size horses to minis but I absolutely love both of them! I can't wait for Spring and good weather so I can get out and drive. In the meantime, I will be learning the basics inside with a trainer. I also garden, love puzzles, sew, knit, do metal work and pottery in order to keep my sanity!
