My experiment with oats and a rant against the feed companies (UPDATE)

I am just now seeing this post, Marty. I'm not on LB as much as I used to be. But now I'm REALLY wondering if this is not what is/was up with Momma's itching. I couldn't maintain her weight on grass hay alone, and heaven knows we haven't had any real grass for years. So I've always maintained...

Please Help ASAP!! I am DESPARATE!!!

Also make sure she is well hydrated. If she has slacked off drinking that won't help the situation. Have the vet IV her for fluids.

    My New Addition

I think he's cute! He looks almost identical to how my Affie looks in the winter. She gets the heaviest wildest winter coat! (FYI That is Affie in my avatar pic when she was clipped)

    Need help on color

She definitely looks grulla to me. Her coloring is identical to how my grulla pinto mare looked at birth.

But check with your vet to be sure. Marsha I think I may have you beat on being as far away as you can get. LOL I live...

Why horses and goats don't always mix...

I have boer goats and horses. I don't keep them together in the same pens or pastures, but that is mainly because horses CANNOT have the medicated goat feed. The rumensin in it is deadly to horses. I have had a few goats that would chew the manes and tails through the fence. It is very...

    Chicken Owners

I've done nothing special for mine and they are doing great and still laying. Mine are free ranging and I don't feed and water them specifically. They drink out of the water troughs for the other animals and scratch in the hay for grain and bugs. (I feed wheat hay so lots of grain in it)

Has anyone here used the product?

I know alot of goat breeders use this with lots of success and accuracy.

    Splashing all the water out

Kari, Wendy's mom did the same thing. She probably learned it from her. I've had several that do this, especially in the summer when it is hot.
