Hi Everyone Thank you all so much for the comments and prayers for my boys. They are now happy, bouncing, healthy little boys out in the paddock together Its such a relief that they both pulled through and have come out the other side so well. It was a long hard haul, but so rewarding when i...

    placentitis

I've had a few here. We put them on sulprim (oral antibiotic, twice a day - reasonably priced too) for the rest of the pregnancy, plus regumate. You can buy an injectable one that is once a week, thats what i have used the last few times, and had perfect results Healthy mum and bub every time...

    Last Foal Of The Season

Thank you all He is a very strong little boy. He was standing about 5mins after birth, found the milk bar on his own at 45mins old, and spent the WHOLE rest of the right running around and around the stall driving his tired mother mad lol He will enjoy going out into the whole paddock...

    sweetys offical foaling thread

I think you are doing the right thing by waiting it out, and seeing what time and strength does for your darling boy. I am sorry this is stressing you so badly, i wish i was closer so i could give you a big hug Breeding sure can be stressful and heartbreaking, but the good does outweigh the...

    sweetys offical foaling thread

What a darling boy I can see what you mean about him favoring it, he short steps quite a bit, but it isnt as bad as i imagined either. I definately think give it some time. Speak to other people, and other vets, and gather all the info you can. Has he been like this since he first got up...

Suzie had a gorgeous little colt

Hahaha! So my girls are posers, and like the limelight a bit Too funny. Thats Princess in with her too... she is Temptress' BFF, and they're inseperable (Temp was outside Princess' whole stable after she lost her foal, and helped her through too). She's a happy, healthy girl again after...

Suzie had a gorgeous little colt

Finn has it all worked out. Run and play outside, and snuggle, eat and sleep inside No foal. She is testing ready (was yesterday) and she is waxed up. But still appears quite comfortable at this stage (although, i guess some just have a good pain tollerance), so i dont think she'll be too far...

Suzie had a gorgeous little colt

Penny does look a little suss to me Cass. That steep slope in her belly does suggest foal to me, but it is that time of year when spring grass can bring on a sudden weight gain too, so i guess its a bit of a gamble. You could try a weefoal test to find out for sure if you wanted to know...
