    Locked leg

    We found him like this on Thursday and got him to the vet on Friday. They worked on it and unlocked it he took 2 steps and it locked up again, worked on it again and he just stood there and it locked up! Sorry should also say that he wouldn't walk on it, but could stand on it and put pressure...

    Our 7 month old colt had his back leg lock up. What is this? Can surgery be done on a horse that young and will it be affective for him the rest of his life? He's at the vets now and we need to make our decision by later today. Our vet gave us his opinion but would like some input on this. Thanks
