Little Masterpiece. When Wayne Greaves was manager of Hi-Line Pony Farm in Englewood, Colorado, Don Vestal asked him what stallion would he buy if he could buy any stallion in the country. Daddy said that he would choose Crescent's Copper Penny and Little Masterpiece. Mr. Vestal bought both along with Copper Penny's full sister Copper Lady. He paid $25,000 for Masterpiece and $10,000 for Copper Penny around 1953.
