That looks like a big job and an exciting one! I bet your horses will enjoy that space!

They freaking better! 😅

Got all of the step in posts in, some will move to make a more narrow or wider track, once the tape is hung up and I can walk it to get a feel for where I don't want them to laze around (neighbor area) or where I need them to spread out & cause less ground damage (driveway mud & around house mud areas).

Got about half of the tape up. Two strands of new-ish 1" tape. Hoping just two will work, if not, I'll add a middle bare wire strand. But with all of that green, it should work until they gobble it all up.

Posts on corners, dips and hills will be replaced with tposts. Will also decide where to put gates and those areas will have tposts and cut off switches added.

Still need to stretch mesh fencing and add insulators to them, then bare wire to keep ponies contained and out of sheep pastures!

Sheep for scale, lol, mini sheep, max out at 2ft, trough is 2ft. Need to add gravel to level it out. Back side will have built up gravel to allow sheep to reach in. Front will have gravel to keep area dry and not a mudpit.

This area needs to be wide.

And this area also needs to be wide.

Fence building is never easy and sometimes you have to answer a lot of questions - like you are doing. It is very satisfying though when you are done and it works out well!

I wonder if our horses knew how much work we did for them, would they be impressed? 😂

Waiting on another roll of hot tape to arrive. Not sold in stores.
Got the insulators on the mesh fencing and most of the bare hot wire clipped in.
Next is pounding in grounding rods & adding the energizer.

Well, it wasn't enough and bought yet another roll!
It's all up now!
Tposts go in today for corners, I can tighten the tape then!
Need to add hot wire to the aisle section by the gates, but otherwise good to go.
After that, I'll plug it in and see if it's grounding out anywhere and how hot it's reading. If near max, I'll let the ponies out and see how they do!

This part is woven bc the sheep need an aisle to run to and from the pastures on the left and the old section of track up to the barn. Idk if I have enough tposts to replace the step in posts with.

Go left or go right? A fork in the pony road.

Bit that needed the extra 500ft of tape, again.

Separated sheep yesterday, so they were kicked out to the old bit of track for the day. They were not happy. No grass in there!
