Thank you all so much. I just ordered some belly bands for him. The last thing I want to do is rehome him. He is such a great little dog other than the marking everything. I have always had Boston Terriers and Dobermans and never had this problem. He is a feisty little dog but so darn cute and...
I accepted a 6 year old altered male yorkie that my neighbor was getting rid of due to having twins. The dog was trained to use puppy pads and didn't go outside very much so never learned to go outdoors to do his buisness. I have tried putting the diapers outside and crating him as well but it's...
Both my filly and stallion do this and always have. I sweep the bedding away and put the feed right on the mat. You will prevent choke as well when they eat from the floor. I also have a gelding that paws the entire time he eats, he never knocks the dish over but paws and will hold his leg up...
I have used the bitless bridle on both minis and larger equine. I use one on my stallion and he is wonderful. Then tried it on a mare and no thanks she didn't care for it. The bitless isn't for every horse. It's like everything else when your training patience consistency, and knowing your...
You aren't kidding about the bareback and balance. When I was young we had to canter bareback around a round pen and catch a ball before we could jump anything.
Great video
I love to cook.
Prime Rib, turkey, stuffing, corn souffle, smoked gouda mashed potatoes, squash casserole, fresh grean beans, salad and rolls
My sisters are bringing dessert hopefully chocolate.
Can't wait.
I looked at this at Equine Affaire today. It's very finely chopped and they had a demo of course. Very easily breaks up and does soak quickly. Up here in New England it's priced at 24.99 per package and should be hitting the stores Thursday.
I think it would be great for older horses with teeth...
My stallion is a hard keeper . I add soaked beet pulp to his feed two cups with his night feed He eats 2 cups of Strategy in the morning and evening as well with 1 flake of hay in the morning 1/2 flake for lunch and 1 flake in the evening.
Welcome to the miniature horse world!
When I got into the minis people on the forum told me to feel their bodies as the thick winter coats makes them look kind of chubby and fuzzy. Not always true. So feel them all over to make sure they are holding their weight during the cold months.
I have put all my solar garden lights in the back yard to charge up as they are great for using inside the house and barn when the power is out. Stored some water. Filled every gas jug I have for the generator and chain saw. Make sure the first aid kit has all supplies.
They say out doors is...
Most young horses don't like the idea but they will come around quickly if you do it daily. My babies will get their feet picked up and let down every time I go into the barn. I will pick up each foot and let it back down with a rub or scratch between each foot when they are good. I ignore the...
We had a storm here in New England last Halloween and lost power for 9 days. It was an experience for sure, its amazing how we take things like a hot shower for granted.
Thanks for the heads up it's certainly something to watch.
