Bred may 11-17. I usually take the day they were out of heat and then subtract a month which would put her due around April 17th So far its been pretty accurate on most of my mares. Its roughly 323 days for Tika.

Tika is due to foal on April 17th but she's well within foaling range. She's got a very thick, sticky, Maroon discharge. I've never seen that in any of my mares before wether they were maiden or experienced. She also has a tiny bag but cant express any fluid at all. She's carrying the baby...

I have a friend that has terrible luck. She's had 2 live foals out of several foals and even lost a mare and foal due to inexperienced vet and dystocia.

I've lost 4 foals out of 25. With one foal i missed the birth with getting up every other hour and the sack broke in the middle so it was still over his head and his rear so i assume he suffocated. I bought the foal alert the very next day! One was a slight dystocia and was probably already dead...

All these cute foals make me anxious to greet my new babies. Still have another month or so before the first one arrives.
