I have an 18 yr old pg mare who is at 325 days and bagging up nicely. Prior to starting to bag up, she had no udder development whatsoever. She's had a number of foals, the last being in 2010. I didn't own her at that time.

Upon checking her milk, one side of her udder has a cheesy substance, much like you would see if a mare has mastitis. She's shown no sign of that since I've owned her the past year and a half.

My question is, should that be stripped out or attempt to? Should she be on antibiotics? I know her last foal died at a week of age. I'm guessing from FPT.

I would have a vet out to check that...

I will talk to my vet about it tomorrow. I was thinking I read a thread a while back about a similar situation. Can't remember, but hoping somebody does.
